from a single bench.
The Fabiani family has shaped leather in the same Milano workshop for seventy-three years. Each pair passes through one hundred and ninety-two hands before it is finished — lasted, welted, sewn and burnished — and only then does it earn its name.

Lasting
Each upper is stretched and shaped over a hand-carved wooden last for fourteen days — never less.
Welting
The Goodyear welt is sewn by hand. A construction that allows the shoe to be resoled, indefinitely.
Finishing
Wax is applied in twelve coats and burnished with bone — giving every pair its singular patina.
